Bubba is being tested for several ailments at this time. He has a bacterial and fungal infection in his skin, which is very irritating to him. He also has some problems with his digestion and tests were done to check his pancreas and other digestive functions. So far his pancreatic tests are normal but he remains very sick. He is being treated for malabsorption and an irritated colon. Bubba needs special medical care to get better and a lot of special care in his foster home. He remains a sweet dog but is uncomfortable and wants to get better.

Bubba was seen by an internal medicine specialist and had an abdominal ultrasound and x-rays to look for the source of his pain and anxiety. He has signs of pancreatic insufficiency but his tests were negative so we are treating him for his symptoms and trying to help him gain strength and feel better.

Bubba is a very stressed dog and he is nervous all the time. We hope that the source of his stress can be found in the medical problems he has so that he can feel better and not live stressed and in pain. Once his medical condition is known, we can treat his anxiety as well and hope that Bubba can recover. He is a nice old boy and deserves to feel better and live a happy life.
