Leader is an epileptic and is being treated with medications, which are keeping his seizures under control.

He has an unusual condition that has caused him to contract Pneumonia following a seizure, from inhaling saliva. This is a dangerous situation if he is left alone and has a seizure so Leader lives in a foster home where someone is always home.

 

 

His seizures are under good control now that he is medicated with both Phenobarbital and Potassium Bromide. It's hard to even tell he is on the medications, except that his seizures are few and very mild right now. It has been nearly 16 months since Leader's last seizure. Epilepsy doesn't ever go away but this is very good control.

Leader thinks he is 3 and loves to play in the yard. Here he play bows in the snow trying to get anyone to chase him. Leader greets everyone as if they were a long-lost friend. He has never met anyone that he doesn't instantly like and he will play as long as you have the energy. His other favorite thing is to sleep next to a person, right on their bed. He likes to snuggle right up next to you and falls fast asleep.
