Success Haze

HazeHaze-Head Haze-Full

Female
Color: White with Brindle
Age: 3

Haze came to us from Florida where she broke her rear leg. She has the most common type of break for a racing Greyhound, a broken Tarsal bone and her Calcanious bone, the main heal bone, has shifted out of place. This caused her ligaments to be displaced and made it impossible for her to use her leg without pain.

The injury was serious and at first we were not sure it could be repaired but with the expertise of our orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Petra Ost, Haze had a successful surgical repair and now has a metal plate supporting her leg so the bones can fuse to be solid again. She also had the displaced tendon repaired and is doing great in her recovery. She feels so good, she wants to play with the other Greyhounds in her foster home.

The most exciting thing for Haze has been finding the right home where she can be happy and live with people who love her. She found that home and is now living a healthy life, free of pain in her leg and able to play as much as she wants.
