Ace is mellow, loving, fully house-trained, although will let his humans know if he's not getting enough affection with some gentle nudges on the arm. Ace knows how to "shake hands" and is active for being 12 years young. Ace enjoys long naps and gets along well with other dogs. Ace is completely cat tolerant.

Ace has been nicknames the "Big Love Sponge" by his foster family. He is very gentle with children and will bark if he wants to be left alone. Due to his age, Ace had his teeth cleaned under special monitoring conditions and came through with flying colors. He only lost one tooth and an Oravet treatment was applied to help stop plaque buildup. Ace is developing cataracs, but doesn't let that slow him down.

Ace found his home-for-life and is now living with very happy people. He is a wonderful pet and still acts like a young boy.
