Portland Starlight Parade

Space on the float is limited, so remaining slots will be filled on a first come first served basis but we have an unlimited number of places for out-walkers who can carry the Greyhound Pet Adoption Northwest Banners. Parade restrictions don't allow any animals walking alongside any float in the parade. That said, we will only be accepting float riders with dogs, and float walkers without dogs. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Parking at the very end of the parade route will be provided by a Downtown Portland company. We have a limited number of these spaces, and request that you carpool to the event if you wish to take advantage of this special perk.

If you have a large vehicle and would be interested in helping shuttle our parade volunteers from our parking area to our meeting space, please contact us at 800-767-5139. You can also email to Starlite Parade

We'll provide:
      + The Greyhound Pet Adoption Northwest Float
      + Direction and Organization for Volunteers

Please bring:
      + Good walking shoes Water for yourself
      + Water for your dog if you are riding the float
      + Bed or blanket for your Greyhound if you are riding the float
      + A Smile for the Television Camera's
