Lucas
“Just wanted to let you all know I’m still looking for my home. I’ve been growing up and learning a lot from my foster families, but I’d really like my own home now that I’ll be three in October. What I’d really like is a friend or two to play with and a yard would be wonderful. I really don’t like when my human is gone, so I’d prefer it if my people were home a lot of the time. I’m a strong boy, but have been learning good leash manners. I don’t try to take my families’ (either human or canine) food. Even though I eat in the kitchen, I don’t counter surf. I respect my brother & sister’s beds, space, toys and food. Right now I’m working on keeping myself calm when meeting new people or dogs. There may have been a little mix up when I was born - I got a husky voice rather than a greyhound voice, so sometimes my people don’t understand what I’m saying. I love everyone and would love to curl up next to somebody if allowed. In the evening when it’s tv time, I’m happy to rest quietly and I sleep throughout the night until my people get up. Foster homes have been a great experience, but I’d love to have my own home now.
- Lucas
Lucas is an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy. He is obsessed with people and loves everyone he meets. He has a lot of puppy-like energy throughout the day, but he’s a gentleman during car rides, and sleeps through the night with no issue. Lucas would love to live in a home with a yard to explore at his leisure, as he can sometimes get overwhelmed on walks, due to all the sights and sounds.”
