Stella

Stella is a beautiful brindle girl who is looking for a home of her own. Unlike most Greyhounds in adoption, Stella is not a retired racer. She is AKC-bred.

Since coming into foster care, Stella has made amazing progress. She’s affectionate, loves being near her people, enjoys car rides, sleeps through the night, and has become a champion couch lounger. She’s also eating well, taking treats nicely, and is house-trained, even letting her foster family know when she needs to go outside.

Stella gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing and wrestling with her canine friends. She has also done well living with a cat, though she occasionally needs a reminder to leave the kitty alone.

She’s friendly with new people and generally does well on leash. She’s recently discovered that neighborhood walks are full of fascinating smells. Stella can become excited on walks, so she must always be walked using a secure harness. Like many dogs settling into a new home, Stella is still working on a few things, including staying calm when visitors come to the door and learning to do her business while on leash.

Because Stella can be quite athletic she must have a securely fenced yard with a minimum 6-foot fence.
