Sighthounds of the World Unite! The Portland Greyhound Walking Club (PGWC) is one of the hundreds of groups participating in this year’s Great Global Greyhound Walk, which includes greyhound groups from around the world, all walking on the same day.  Currently, 38 countries have registered, with many having multiple cities and states taking part.  This annual walk is a worldwide celebration of greyhounds, lurchers and other sighthounds, bringing together thousands of dogs and their owners for one special day each year. These walks help raise awareness of sighthounds as gentle, loving pets and promote greyhound adoption and rehoming.

Who can resist being part of a global event to highlight our hounds?

Noise Warning: There is an active shooting range nearby, and gunshots can be heard. If you or your hound are noise-sensitive, this may be a walk to skip, or take precautions.
